Villa Madonna's national standardized scores are higher than the average private school score, locally and nationwide! Our students score exceptionally high in the areas of Math, Reading, and Science. This is due to the rich learning environment we offer, including state-of-the-art technology, new curricula, and a variety of extracurricular activities.
Villa Madonna School limits class size, in order to maximize student engagement and increase student achievement. We have between 15 and 20 students per classroom, with two teachers per classroom for grades EC3-K.
Our teachers are qualified and have met all the requirements set forth by Florida Department of Education, Diocese of St. Petersburg, and Villa Madonna School. Our teachers pride themselves on continuing their development and zeal for teaching by attending professional development opportunities that focus on academia and ethical practices.
Elective Classes for 7th and 8th Graders
Elective classes run as a trimester class. Students will have the opportunity to participate in three different electives by the end of the year. The elective classes are built into the schedule to give the students an opportunity to discover their talents and have fun.
The majority of Villa Madonna graduates attend prestigious high schools, including Jesuit, Tampa Catholic, and Academy of the Holy Names.
Sisters of St. Don Bosco
The presence of the Salesian Sisters of St. Don Bosco truly sets Villa apart. The Sisters make it their daily mission to be a visible witness to God's love for each and every student through full and active participation in their lives. Whether it's through teaching, coaching, or spending time with the children, they fully embody familial 'Salesian Way' - that is loving the whole child through Reason, Religion, and Loving Kindness.
Villa Madonna School is home to students of many talents and abilities. We are proud to support advanced learners, those whose talents lie within the classroom. Villa Madonna is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Students maintaining 85% average in all subjects all year will be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.
Members of the National Junior Honor Society are encouraged to use their talents to help other students. Many National Junior Honor Society students offer free tutoring to younger students after school.
